Recently, the "Report on the Development of Red Mud Green Utilization" compiled by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association was officially released. The report is the world's first red mud utilization report, with 4 parts and 17 chapters, comprehensively expounding the production and utilization of red mud in my country in 2021, major foreign progress, relevant industrial policies, standards and patent achievements, green utilization of red mud Main products, typical cases, future development trends and action plans for key alumina enterprises. The data in this report is published publicly by the National Bureau of Statistics, and combined with industry research and enterprise provision.
This report is the crystallization of the collective wisdom of experts and entrepreneurs. It provides references for relevant departments and guidance for alumina companies and red mud utilization companies. It is hoped that the green utilization of red mud will flourish and make new and more remarkable achievements for the country's green transformation and development. It also plays a leading and exemplary role in the green utilization of alumina red mud worldwide.
At the symposium on the comprehensive utilization of red mud held by major alumina companies at the end of 2021, a consensus was reached, and the Nonferrous Metals Association took the lead in organizing the preparation of the report. On the basis of a large number of detailed materials provided by the participating units, the editorial board and expert group spent a whole year discussing research and field inspection projects many times, and adjusted and optimized the outline many times in line with the principles of practicality and guidance. The draft was refined from more than 300,000 words of material into more than 30,000 words and finally formed the report. In the meantime, the Red Mud Promotion Office of the Nonferrous Metals Association has comprehensively carried out the statistical accounting of the national red mud production and utilization, and the Light Metal Department of the Nonferrous Metals Association, the Aluminum Industry Branch and other relevant departments have given strong support and guidance.
