1 Preparation for drilling with the hand-held rock drill:
1) Before starting the rock drill, knock on the top to check the biogas, check whether the handles are flexible, whether the connecting bolts are loose, and fill up with lubricating oil.
2) Connect the rock drill and hydraulic outrigger.
3) Connect the power supply and run it idling for half a minute to check whether the rock drill is running and the sound is normal.
4) Connect the pipeline, start the water pump to adjust the pressure to the specified pressure, about 9.8°~86°Pa, and adjust the water volume to 4~10kg/min. Check the water seals and channels of the rock drill and hydraulic outriggers for leaks. Whether the outriggers are flexible.

2 Hand-held rock drill to open the hole:
1) A driller is standing near the working face, mastering the drill tip to aim at the eye position, and another driller is standing behind the rock drill to operate the rock drill and outrigger.
2) At the beginning, shorten the outrigger to keep the angle between the outrigger and the floor at 80°~85°, as shown in Figure 2-5, to reduce the axial thrust of the rock drill and increase the support for the rock drill Power, boil a small amount of water.
3) After drilling 5-8cm, open a large amount of water and adjust the position of the outriggers (see the dotted line position in Figure 2-5) to increase the axial thrust.

3 Hand-held rock drill for normal drilling During normal drilling, only one person is required to stand behind or on the side of the rock drill, without manual force, but the following points should be noted:
1) Observe the powder discharge and adjust the water volume. The water volume should increase correspondingly with the increase of eye depth.
2) Pay attention to the drilling situation and adjust the thrust of the outriggers at any time. If the thrust is too large, it will easily stick to the drill, and if the thrust is too small, it will lead to empty drilling. Both stuck and empty drilling will affect the drilling speed.
3) Keep the steel drill and the legs on the same vertical plane.
