the market introduction

Chile's land is rich in treasures and is currently one of the most powerful countries in the world's mineral industry, with a large number of metals and non-metallic minerals such as copper, lithium, iodine, silver, molybdenum and natural nitrates. Chile is the world's most important copper producer. The total output in 2016 was 5.33 million tons of refined copper, accounting for 31.8% of the world's total output. Chile is the top five in the world's top ten copper mines. In addition, important mineral companies such as BHP Billiton, Barrick, Glencore Strata, Anglo American, Freeport McMullen Copper and Gold, Antofagasta Mining, SQM and Chilean National Copper Company are all assembled. herein.

Mining is the main driver of Chile's rapid and sustained economic growth in recent decades and will continue to maintain its position as a pillar of the economy. In 2016, the mining industry accounted for 13.0% of Chile's national GDP, 59.7% of the country's total exports, and 14% of the country's total fiscal revenue. According to the statistics of the Chilean Copper Industry Council, by 2021, the investment in domestic mining projects will reach $112 billion. For the upcoming investment projects, copper production will increase from the current 5.9 million tons of refined copper to 8.1 million tons in 2021, maintaining Chile's leading position in the global copper industry. At present, Chile's copper mine production accounts for 32% of the world. As a result, mining activities have also driven the rapid growth of other suppliers of technology, products and services to the mining industry.
